A Brother & His Sisters {August}

When I was pregnant with Freddie I couldn't wait to do a monthly sibling post that included Freddie too. Last month I wrote the first ever sibling post that included Freddie but I couldn't really write how the girls had been with him properly as he was only born on the 16th of July. Freddie is now over a month old and it has been a very hard but amazing month and I wouldn't change a thing.
I am not going to lie, this month has been full of ups and downs. The girls have been arguing a lot but I guess that is just what happens when they are off school for so many weeks. I have tried to get them out of the house for a walk and to other people's houses a few times a week so they don't get bored staying in the house all day. They do enjoy going out and running around. We have had the chance to review the Zen pram by BabyZen and up to now we have loved it. There will be a review coming up soon for this.
We have been lucky that most days through the summer the sun has been out and it hasn't been too cold, so the girls have had a chance to play outside whether it is in the back garden or out on our walks. The girls have taken up the role of being big sisters to Freddie really well. Every morning they will come into my bed and say good morning to Freddie and giving a kiss if he is awake. They love to hold him, cuddle him and give him kisses. They have both been amazing with him and I can't say anything negative about how they have been with him because there isn't anything.
I still find it strange telling people that I have now have a son. I have been so used to saying I have daughters for the past 6 and a half years but it feels amazing having a little boy in our lives now. He has filled a hole that we didn't even know that was there and even though I always wanted a baby boy, I never knew how much love I could give to another child. They're all just amazing.
Next month will be interesting to see as both girls will be back in school and Elliw will be full time school for the first time. In the day it will just be me and Freddie which will be strange but I am going to make the most of that time just me and him.

ReplyDeleteYes I can see how the summer would be harder to know how they are with Freddies arrival because of the inevitable boredom that does tend to set in and being around each other constantly. Seems as though it's going well though- just a bit more difficult on you right now. xx
